CONTACT CORRECTION AND EYE PROSTHETICS CENTER
At the IRTC “Eye Microsurgery” Contact Correction and Eye Prosthetics Center are used contact lenses of their own production and contact lenses produced by foreign firms: Titmus (Germany), Torei (Japan), Johnson & Johnson (USA), Bausch and Lomb (USA), Waikon (Germany), Siba Vision (USA).
The Center performs:
- Vision check-up and all types of glasses fitting;
- Fitting and production of cosmetic contact lenses made of plastic impenetrable for gas taking into account individual eye peculiarities and parameters of the eye for the patients with high complicated and progressing myopia, astigmatism, keratoconus (including patients who underwent optics-reconstructing operations);
- contact correction fitting for the patients when surgical treatment is not indicated or when the result of operation doesn’t allow gaining the desired effect;
- contact lenses correction for mono- and binocular aphakia, including complicated cases when artificial lens implantation is not indicated;
- restoration of visual functions in children by means of precise correction, complex pleopto-orthoptic treatment and original stimulation methods created at IRTC “Eye Microsurgery”;
- complex treatment of the cornea in cases of trauma, “dry eyes” syndrome;
- production of individual contact lenses of gas penetrable plastic in cases out of standard according to imported technology;
- contact lenses fitting – curative and cosmetic in cases of wounds and eye burns;
- individual cosmetic prosthetics for the patients after the eyeball removal;
- production and fitting of individual cosmetic contact lenses correcting exterior eye defect;
- correction for poor vision by means of calculation and creation of teleco-systems;
- modeling of surgical operations by means of contact lenses;
- investigation of lacrimal film and lacrimal liquid in patients with endocrine pathology.
The work of the Center is characterized by attentive and sympathetic attitude to the patients, high professional level, and systematic patients monitoring.
